What are we proposing?

This is an outline application, with detailed access arrangements on to School Road. This means, apart from the highways and access, all other detail of what we are proposing e.g. where houses will be located, how they will look, will follow in a further planning application.

Our proposals include:

  • Up to 49 new homes

  • 30% affordable homes

  • Public open space accessible to all

  • New pedestrian connections to existing footpaths, the village hall and play area

  • New car parking spaces for the village hall

  • Replacement public footbridge and relocated pedestrian crossing to improve access

  • A Sustainable Urban Drainage system to capture and better manage the water on the site

  • New trees and hedgerows around the site, reinforcing the site boundary and improving wayfinding on adjacent public footpaths, with no changes to current public rights of way

  • Financial contributions to support local infrastructure improvements such as schools and doctors, subject to consultation with the council
